Hugo Auradou (born 20 July 2003) is a French rugby union player who plays as a lock for Pau in the Top 14 competition and the France national team. He made his Top 14 debut with his club on 22 December 2022. Playing career Early career Auradou started rugby for his hometown club in 2010, and then joined Mont-de-Marsan as a junior in 2014. In 2020, he signed with Pau and joined the Top 14 club at the end of the 2021–22 season. He was part of the world championship winning team, the France national under-20 rugby union team, at the 2023 World Rugby U20 Championship. He played 4 games. Auradou made his EPCR Challenge Cup debut for Section Paloise in 2021 against London Irish. His Top 14 debut for Pau was against Aviron Bayonnais in the 2022–23 Top 14 season. David Auradou
David Auradou (born 13 November 1973) is a French former rugby union footballer. He last played for Paris club Stade Français, where he was the captain, in the Top 14. His usual position was at lock. Career Auradou was part of the Stade Français team that won the Coupe de France in 1999, when they beat CS Bourgoin-Jallieu 27–19 at Saint-Etienne. The following season his club also featured in the final of the French championship, in which they won, defeating the US Colomiers 28–23 at Stade de France. The club went on to feature in the final of the 2000–01 Heineken Cup, but were defeated by the Leicester Tigers. The following year he made his international debut for France during the 2002 Six Nations Championship, in the 33–12 win over Italy in Paris. Aviron Bayonnais (AB, ), commonly called Bayonne, is a French rugby union club from Bayonne (''Baiona'' in Basque) in Pyrénées-Atlantiques which competes in the Top 14, the top tier of the National Rugby League (France), French league system. Founded in 1904, they play at the Parc des Sports, also known as Stade Jean-Dauger, in Bayonne. The club mascot is a pottok pony called ''pottoka''. They have ties to the French Basque people, Basque community. History The club was established on 14 October 1906. In July 2024, the France rugby union team toured Argentina and Uruguay (their fifteenth overall), as part of the conventional Summer International calendar. Starting in 2012, France has toured Argentina in a two-test series in the year directly following the Rugby World Cup (RWC). However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 tour was cancelled. Reported in April 2023, the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) announced key dates for the 2023–24 season, with news of a French tour of Argentina.
