Hugo Lemos Arthuso (born 4 May 1987) is a Brazilian male badminton player. He competed at the Pan American Games in 2011 and 2015. Career In 2011, he became the champion at the Bill Graham Miami International tournament in men's doubles event with Daniel Paiola. He also won the Suriname International tournament in mixed doubles event partnered with Fabiana Silva. In 2015, he won the silver medal in men's doubles event at the Toronto Pan American Games partnered with Daniel Paiola. Osasco
Osasco () is a municipality in São Paulo State, Brazil, located in the Greater São Paulo and ranking 5th in population among São Paulo municipalities. Phillip Chew
Phillip Hung Chew (born May 16, 1994) is an American badminton player. He won two gold medals in men's and mixed doubles at the 2015 Pan American Games. Chew also participated in the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. He won the 2021 Pan Am Badminton Championships doubles with his brother Ryan Chew. He trains at the Orange County Badminton Club, which is founded by his grandfather, Don Chew. Career In 2016, Chew represented the United States in both mixed and men's doubles events at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Chew made his second appearance at the Olympic Games in 2020 Tokyo. He competing in the men's doubles event partnered with Ryan Chew, but he was eliminated in the group stage. Markham Pan Am Centre
The Markham Pan Am Centre is a multi-purpose community and aquatics centre located in the new downtown area of Markham, Ontario, Canada. The facility was designed to host the badminton, table tennis and water polo events for the 2015 Pan American Games, held in nearby Toronto in July and August, 2015. Daniel Paiola
Daniel Vasconcellos Paiola (born May 4, 1989) is a Brazilian badminton player. He became the first Brazilian badminton player to win an individual medal in the Pan American Games when he won a bronze in the men's singles event at the 2011 Games, losing in the semi-finals to Guatemalan Kevin Cordón. He has medaled ten at the Pan American Badminton Championships, and is a one-time national champion. Early life Paiola was born in Campinas, and his father died when he was one year old. He started out playing tennis, but took up badminton at age 13 after a shoulder injury took him out for year. While still a teenager, his mother sent him to train in Portugal with Marco Vasconcelos, a fifteen-time Portuguese national champion, and his training also took him to Spain, Denmark and Malaysia.
