Hugh Simon
Hugh Simon is a British actor, best known for his portrayal of the character Malcolm Wynn-Jones in the television series '' Spooks''. His other TV credits include '' Shackleton'', '' Attachments'', ''Cold Feet'', ''North Square'', '' Big Bad World'', and " Unusual Suspects" (an episode of '' Highlander: The Series''). He has also appeared on stage in the 2005 London revival of ''Epitaph for George Dillon'', and in the film ''Possession''. Malcolm Wynn-Jones
Malcolm Wynn-Jones (born 29 December 1958 in Dunvant, Wales; full name Malcolm Peregrine Geoffrey St. John Wynn Jones) was the first MI5 analyst featured in the British television series '' Spooks'', known as ''MI5'' in the United States. Malcolm was played by Hugh Simon from start of ''Spooks'' in 2002 until the character retired at the start of Series 8 in 2009. The character however, made a return in the later stage of Series 9 in 2010. Malcolm returned in the feature film '' Spooks: The Greater Good''. Spooks profile Malcolm served as a technician and data analyst for the team. In the script for one of his first episodes, he is described as being "an odd-looking man in a bow-tie. He sounds almost autistic--a walking intelligence encyclopaedia." ''Epitaph for George Dillon'' is an early John Osborne play, one of two he wrote in collaboration with Anthony Creighton (the other is '' Personal Enemy''). It was written before '' Look Back in Anger'', the play which made Osborne's career, but opened a year after at Oxford Experimental Theatre in 1957, and was then produced at London's Royal Court theatre, where ''Look Back in Anger'' had debuted. It transferred to New York City shortly afterwards and garnered three Tony Award nominations.
