Sir Hugh Ashley Roberts (born 20 April 1948), is a British art historian and curator. He was the Director of the Royal Collection, the art collection of the British Royal Family, and Surveyor of the Queen's Works of Art, whose office is responsible for the care and maintenance of the royal collection of works of art owned by the Sovereign of the United Kingdom in an official capacity. Roberts was closely involved in the restoration of Windsor Castle, a medieval castle and royal residence located in Windsor, Berkshire, England, notable for its long association with the British Royal Family and its architecture after its 1992 fire. Hugh Roberts (politician)
Hugh Roberts (born 1880) was a Welsh trade unionist and politician. Born in Holyhead, Roberts became a carpenter and joiner. He relocated to Liverpool and joined the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners (ASC&J), becoming the chair of its Liverpool No.2 branch in 1901. Roberts later relocated to London, where he became active in the Labour Party. In 1912, he became honorary organiser of the Paddington and Kensington Labour Council. In 1918, he became secretary of the Paddington Labour Party, and also honorary organiser of the National League of the Blind. In 1920, he made the London arrangements for the Blind March to London. In 1921, he became the London District Secretary of the National Association of Theatrical Employees (NATE). In 1923, he was elected as general secretary of NATE. Hugh Roberts (born September 27, 1992) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Monterey Bay F.C. in the USL Championship. Youth and college College Roberts played college soccer at George Mason University between 2010 and 2013. While at college, Roberts played for USL PDL club Baltimore Bohemians during their 2012 and 2013 seasons. Club career Richmond Kickers Roberts signed with USL Pro club Richmond Kickers on March 7, 2013. After three seasons with the Kickers, Roberts became a regular starter on the backline making 79 total appearances and scoring twice.
