Huazhou, Guangdong
Huazhou (), formerly romanized as Fachow or Fahsien, is a county-level city in southwestern Guangdong Province, China. Bordering Guangxi to the north, it is administrated as part of the prefecture-level city of Maoming. During the 2010 census, its population was 1,178,809, of which 320,418 were considered urban. History During the Three Kingdoms period, the area was organized as Guanghua County (). During the Song dynasty, the area became the seat of Hua Prefecture, Huazhou later became the seat of Hua County, which formed part of Gaozhou Commandery.. After the Chinese Civil War, it was reorganized and placed under the administration of Maoming. In 1959, Hua County () and Wuchuan County () merged to become Huazhou County. Huazhou District
Huazhou District (), formerly Hua County or Huaxian (), is a district of Weinan, Shaanxi province, China. It was upgraded from a county to a district in 2015. The district spans an area of , and has a population of about 324,300 as of 2012. History During the Western Zhou period, the area belonged to the State of Zheng. During the Spring and Autumn period, the State of Qin established in the area of present-day Huazhou. Zheng County was put under the jurisdiction of Hua Prefecture. Early in the Yuan dynasty, Zheng County was merged into Hua Prefecture. The epicenter of the 1556 Shaanxi earthquake was in Huazhou District. In 1913, Hua Prefecture was re-organized as Hua County. On May 23, 1949, the area was taken by forces of the People's Liberation Army. In 1958, Hua County was placed under the jurisdiction of Weinan County, which soon became Weinan Prefecture in 1961, and was upgraded to a prefecture-level city in 1994. Haizhu District
Haizhu District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China. Geography Haizhu District is located in the southern part of Guangzhou city. After the adjustment of Guangzhou's administrative regional planning in 2005, the northern part of Haizhu District is adjacent to Liwan District, Yuexiu District and Tianhe District across the Pearl River, and the eastern, western and southern parts are adjacent to Huangpu District, Liwan District and Panyu District respectively.
