Htun Eaindra Bo
Htun Eaindra Bo (, ; also Htun Aeindra Bo; born 1 May 1966) is a three-time Myanmar Academy Award winning actress and singer. The Mogok native began her film career in 1991, and has achieved fame and success as an actor and singer. Now in her 50s, she is still a household name in Myanmar, especially for rural Myanmar and continues to make films and performs in concerts. Background Htun Eaindra Bo was born on 1 May 1966 in Mogok, Myanmar to Khin Mya Mya and Khin Maung Thein. She is the middle child of three; she has an elder brother and a younger sister, Thet Thet Khine, a House of Representatives MP. Her family was in the jewellery business. Mi Mi Khine was interested entertainment since she was little. She was singing Burmese songs at age four and by age eleven, she began to sing at local concerts. She graduated with a law (LLB) degree. Mogok
Mogok (, ; Shan language, Shan: , ) is a town of around 90,000 people in the Thabeikkyin District of Mandalay Region of Myanmar, located north of Mandalay and north-east of Shwebo, Sagaing, Shwebo. History Mogok is believed to be founded in 1217 by three lost Shan hunters who discovered rubies at the base of a collapsed mountain later known as Kyee Arr Taung. According to the oral history, the hunters returned to their home in Momeik and offered the precious stones to the local Chao Pha, saopha who established a village in what would become modern-day Mogok. Saw Bwe Hmu
Saw Bwe Hmu (; 19 October 1952 – 24 July 1994) was a co-founder and the band leader of the Burmese band ''Iron Cross'' and a well known songwriter. An ethnic Karen Christian, he served as the lead guitarist of the band. Other band members included Chit San Maung (guitar), Khin Maung Thant (bass), Banya Naing (keyboards) and Kha Yan (drums). Lay Phyu, Ah Nge, Myo Gyi and Y Wine were the key singers of that band and R Zarni soon joined the band later. Composers Maung Maung Zaw Latt and L Phyu freed it from its reliance on such popular American bands as Metallica and won it critical acclaim and a wide public. He played the guitar at ''Success'' and ''Symphony'' music bands before ''Iron Cross'' was founded.
