Wolverine (birth name: James Howlett; alias: Logan and Weapon X) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, mostly in association with the X-Men. Virginia Howlett (born 1951 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a designer and painter. With an MFA in Painting from The Art Institute of Chicago, Howlett was one of the first designers hired into Microsoft in 1985. After writing an email to Bill Gates explaining the necessity for having designated graphic user interface designers, she built the company's first user interface design team. She led the team that designed the 3D graphic interface for Windows 95. She was also instrumental in starting Microsoft's corporate art collection. Working in Microsoft's typography group, she collaborated with Matthew Carter to develop a number of typefaces including ''Verdana'' (which is named after her daughter, Ana). Stephen William Howlett was formerly Chief Executive of Peabody, one of London's oldest and largest housing associations. He was Chief Executive between 2004 and July 2017 and was appointed to the Peabody Board on 18 May 2011. Robert Howlett (3 July 1831 – 2 December 1858) was a pioneering British photographer whose pictures are widely exhibited in major galleries. Howlett produced portraits of Crimean War heroes, genre scenes and landscapes. His photographs include the iconic picture of Isambard Kingdom Brunel which was part of a commission by the London-based weekly newspaper '' Illustrated Times'' to document the construction of the world's largest steamship, the SS ''Great Eastern''. He exhibited at the London Photographic Society and published ''On the Various Methods of Printing Photographic Pictures upon Paper, with Suggestions for Their Preservation.'' Michael John Gilmour Howlett (born 27 April 1950) is a record producer and teacher based in the United Kingdom and Australia. Career In the late 1960s, Howlett was the bassist in Sydney pop band the Affair, which included vocalist Kerrie Biddell. The group travelled to England after winning a prize in the Hoadley's Battle of the Sounds band competition. Howlett settled in London and in 1973 joined renowned British progressive rock group Gong, which had been founded by an Australian expatriate, Daevid Allen. He remained with Gong until 1977, recording several albums with them and co-writing much of their material later in this period with drummer Pierre Moerlen.
