Caroline Dana Howe
Caroline Dana Howe (, Dana; August 21, 1824 - October 30, 1907) was an American writer of prose, poetry, and hymns. Her celebrated song, "Leaf by Leaf the Roses Fall", was claimed and used by several different authors, until her authorship was reasserted, the publishers appending her name to all later editions. A large number of Howe's songs were set to music for which they were easily adapted, and were found in sheet music and in church collections. The songs were gathered into at least 26 collections, and it was said that no living writer in Maine was more favorably known in that day as a writer of songs than Howe. She was also well known as a writer of short serial stories, juvenile sketches, and essays. The Massachusetts Sunday School Society published a book of about 200 pages of hers, carried successfully through several editions. Howe died in 1907. Eddie Howe
Edward John Frank Howe (born 29 November 1977) is an English professional football manager and former player, who is the manager of Premier League club Newcastle United. A centre-back during his playing career, Howe spent most of his playing career with AFC Bournemouth, coming up through the youth system and spending eight years with the club, before returning for a second three-year spell to end his career, and retiring from the professional game in 2007. He entered management the following year, taking charge of a Bournemouth side facing relegation to the Conference National in January 2009 as the youngest manager in the Football League. Dylan Howe
Dylan Lee Howe (born 4 August 1969) is an English drummer, bandleader, session musician and composer. The son of guitarist Steve Howe (musician), Steve Howe with whom he has sometimes collaborated, Dylan is also noted for his work with rock band the Blockheads (both before and after the death of singer Ian Dury), in addition to his own work as a jazz bandleader and prolific session work with a variety of musicians. Don Howe (footballer, Born 1917)
Donald Howe (26 November 1917 – 23 August 1978) was an English association (soccer) footballer who played in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s for Bolton Wanderers (captain), he made his league début against Liverpool in October 1936, as a child he attended Stanley St. Peter's School in Stanley, West Riding of Yorkshire. Over the next few years he played in every position for Bolton Wanderers except centre- forward. In the 1938–39 season Howe scored nine goals. Don Howe
Donald Howe (12 October 1935 – 23 December 2015) was an English football player, coach, manager and pundit. As a right back Howe featured for clubs West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal together with the England national football team in his playing career. He also went on to manage sides West Brom, Arsenal, Galatasaray, Queens Park Rangers and Coventry City. Howe was also a successful coach and has been described as one of the most influential figures of the English footballing game. Playing career Howe was born in the Springfield area of Wolverhampton in 1935 and spent his secondary education at St Peter's Collegiate School. Howe joined the West Bromwich Albion ground staff after leaving school, joining the club as a youth player in December 1950. Denis Cecil Howe (14 September 1928 – 7 June 2020) was an English footballer who made 223 appearances in the Football League for Darlington, Southend United and Aldershot in the 1950s. David Peter Howe (born 1 March 1982) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from England. Career Born in Leicester, England, David Howe started his career on 31 March 1997, aged 15, with the Peterborough Panthers team in the Conference League. After winning the Premier League in 1998 with Peterborough Panthers he was part of the squad that won the treble with Peterborough: the Elite League, the Knockout Cup and the Craven Shield.
