Artsrun Karapeti Hovhannisyan (, born 30 January 1980 in Tsoghamarg) is the former press secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Armenia, a military expert and analyst. From March to July 2020 he held the position of Head of the Command and Staff Faculty at the Vazgen Sargsyan Military University, and from July of the same year - Head of the HR and Education Department. He is the author of numerous articles, monographs, works, reviews. Robert Ararati Hovhannisyan (; born 23 March 1991) is an Armenian chess player. He was awarded the title Grandmaster by FIDE in 2010. In January 2011, Hovhannisyan won the 71st Armenian Chess Championship which he won again in 2024 and 2025 In July he was a member of the gold-medal winning Armenian team at the World Team Chess Championship in Ningbo. Zhora Hovhannisyan (, born 16 April 1987) is an Armenian footballer. Club career Hovhannisyan played for FC Pyunik before switching in July 2004 to Greek team Olympiacos. In January 2008, he moved on loan from Olympiacos to Greek Beta Ethniki club Agios Dimitrios. Hovhannisyan joined Doxa Kranoula in July 2008 and, in January 2009, moved to A.O. Khoren Oganesian (; born 10 January 1955), also known as Khoren Hovhannisyan, is a former Armenian and Soviet football player who played as a midfielder and currently a football manager and coach. He was awarded the Master of Sport of the USSR, International Class title in 1976. Oganesian was a member of the USSR national football team and mostly played at club level for Soviet Top League and Armenian Premier League club Ararat Yerevan. Edgar Hovhannisyan, Hovhannisian or Oganesian (,; January 14, 1930, Yerevan – December 28, 1998, Yerevan) was an Armenian composer, Professor of Composition at the Yerevan State Conservatory, People's Artist of the USSR (1986). He graduated from the Yerevan State Conservatory in 1953, then pursued post-graduate work at the Moscow Conservatory, where he worked under famed Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian.
