Lines Hotei Station is served by the Meitetsu Inuyama Line, and is located 15.2 kilometers from the starting point of the line at . Station layout Hotei Station consists of two eight-car island platforms serving four tracks, connected to the station building by a level crossing. Before the temporary platforms came into use, track 1 was only long enough for six-car trains. Access to the platforms from the old station building was via a level crossing; Hotei was the last station on the Inuyama Line where this was the case. , also known simply as Hotei ( ), is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, composer, record producer and actor. With a career spanning more than 40 years, Hotei claims record sales of over 40 million copies and has collaborated with artists from around the world. Hotei first rose to prominence in the 1980s as the guitarist for Boøwy, one of Japan's most popular rock bands, before starting a solo career. In 2003, he was ranked number 70 on HMV's list of the 100 most important Japanese pop acts. Budai
Budai is a nickname given to the historical Chinese monk Qieci () in the Later Liang Dynasty, who is often identified with and venerated as the future or Maitreya Buddha in Chan Buddhism and Buddhist scripture. With the spread of Chan Buddhism, he also came to be venerated in Vietnam, Korea, and Japan. Budai is said to have lived around the 10th century CE in the Wuyue kingdom. The name "Budai" literally means "cloth sack", and refers to the bag he is usually depicted carrying as he wanders aimlessly. His jolly nature, humorous personality, and eccentric lifestyle distinguish him from most Buddhist masters or figures. Gakkyu Hotei
is a Japanese manga series written by Nobuaki Enoki and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. It is a relaunch of the manga ''Gakkyu Hotei'' that was published on the ''Jump Live'' smartphone manga service in 2013. It was serialized in Shueisha's ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from December 2014 to May 2015, and finished on the ''Shōnen Jump+'' platform. Its chapters were collected in three ''tankōbon'' volumes. Viz Media published the first three chapters for its "Jump Start" initiative and then began to simulpublish the series in December 2014.
