''Hot Nights With Abbie Chatfield'' was an Australian night time radio show on the Hit Network, and was hosted by Abbie Chatfield. History In early 2022, it was revealed that television personality and podcaster Abbie Chatfield had landed her very own national radio show across the Hit Network called ''Hot Nights With Abbie Chatfield.'' The show was set to broadcast in over 50 radio stations across Australia on 17 January 2022. It was also revealed that Abbie would be joined by anchor Rohan Edwards on the show, and the executive producer would be Max Corstorphan. Abbie Chatfield (born 20 June 1995) is an Australian media personality, television host, radio presenter and podcaster. She is best known for her appearances in reality television as both a contestant and host, and currently serves as a panellist on The Masked Singer (Australian TV series), ''The Masked Singer Australia''. She is also well known for her political activism in progressive politics, which she speaks about on her podcast, "It's A Lot with Abbie Chatfield". She rose to fame as the runner-up on the The Bachelor (Australian season 7), seventh season of ''The Bachelor (Australian TV series), The Bachelor Australia.'' Hit Network
The Hit Network is an Australian commercial radio network owned and operated by Southern Cross Austereo. The network consists of 41 radio stations broadcasting a hot adult contemporary music format, as well as 6 digital radio stations. History The Hit Network was formed in 1986 as the Austereo Network after Austereo, the licensee of Adelaide commercial radio station SAFM, purchased Fox FM in Melbourne. The network grew throughout the late 1980s and the 1990s, acquiring B105 Brisbane, 2Day FM Sydney and PMFM Perth, as well as establishing joint-venture stations in Canberra and Newcastle. The network would later become known as the ''Today Network'', with stations adopting a contemporary hit radio music format. Following the acquisition of Austereo by Southern Cross Media Group, the company incorporated the regional Hot FM, Sea FM and Star FM networks into the Today Network. 2Day FM (call sign 2DAY) is a commercial FM radio station broadcasting in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on a frequency of 104.1 MHz, and is part of Southern Cross Austereo's Hit Network. History 1980s 2Day FM was one of three radio stations (along with Triple M and Triple J) to be granted new FM broadcasting licenses in Sydney in 1980, and commenced broadcasting on 2 August of that year. The original owners were well known media personalities John Laws (30%), Mike Willesee (30%), Village Roadshow (30%) and Graham Kennedy (10%). The station's original programming format was focused towards easy-listening music, but shifted to more pop and rock oriented programming since the late 1980s, with the later addition of Hip-Hop and dance music to their playlists.
