Hostrups Have
Hostrups Have ( lit. "Hostrup's Garden") is a famous functionalist housing estate and associated green space located at the corner of Falkoner Allé and Rolighedsvej in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Designed by Danish architect Hans Dahlerup Berthelsen in 1935–36. Hostrups Have is named after the playwright Jens Christian Hostrup. It has its own post code (1954 Frederiksberg C). History The housing development is located at the site of the old Rubens Klædefabrik, a textile factory which opened at the site in 1857. It closed and was demolished in 1927. Hostrups Have was built by the developer Harald Simonsen. The development was designed by the architect Hans Dahlerup Berthelsen. The foundation stone was set by prime minister Thorvald Stauning on 20 June 1935. The housing estate was inaugurated in 1936. Lilly Lamprecht
Lilly Lamprecht née Camradt (1887–1976) was a Danish operatic soprano. She made her début at the Royal Danish Theatre in 1911 in the title role of ''Liden Kirsten''. Her roles included ''Madame Butterfly'', Cherubino in ''The Marriage of Figaro'' and Micaëla in ''Carmen''. She left the company in 1931 but returned in 1933 to perform Marguerite in ''Faust''. Lamprecht was honoured as a Royal Chamber Singer in 1922. Susse Wold (born 17 November 1938) is a stage and screen actress whose career has spanned five decades. Born Lise Wold in Denmark, she is the daughter of actress Marguerite Viby. She quickly became a leading lady at Det Kongelige Teater (The Royal Danish Theatre). In addition to her many TV, film and stage roles, Wold has toured the world reading H. C. Andersen's works. Considered one of the great comedy actresses of Danish cinema, Viby received honorary Bodil and Robert Awards in 2000 for lifetime achievement. Klaus Rifbjerg (15 December 1931 – 4 April 2015) was a Danish writer. He authored more than 170 novels, books and essays. In 1965 he co-produced the film '' 4x4'' which was entered into the 4th Moscow International Film Festival. Biography Rifbjerg was born in Copenhagen and grew up on the island of Amager, which is part of the city, the child of two teachers. Later he studied English and literature, in Copenhagen and for a year in the US at Princeton University. His breakthrough was in 1958 with the novel ''Den kroniske Uskyld''. It was made into a film in 1985, directed by Edward Fleming. From that time on he published more than 100 novels as well as poetry and short story collections, plays, TV and radio plays, film scripts, children's books and diaries.
