''Hostages'' ( he, בני ערובה, Bnei Aruba) is an Israeli drama television series that was first broadcast on Channel 10 in October 2013. The series was created by Rotem Shamir and Omri Givon and produced by Chaim Sharir. The series originally aired on Channel 10 in Israel and has subsequently been broadcast or adapted in several other countries. Synopsis Four masked men break into the Danon family home and take the family hostage. The intruders demand that Yael ( Ayelet Zurer), the family matriarch and a brilliant surgeon, kill the prime minister in what is meant to be a routine surgery. The operation is scheduled for the following day. If the prime minister does not die during the surgery, Yael's family will be killed. Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer ( he, איילת זורר; born ) is an Israeli actress. She was nominated for awards at the Jerusalem Film Festival, the Israeli Academy Awards and the Israeli Television Academy Awards. She won Best Actress awards for her roles in the Israeli film ''Nina's Tragedies'' and ''Betipul''. She also portrays Vanessa Fisk in Marvel Television's Netflix series '' Daredevil'' (2015–18). ''Hostages'' is an American drama television series that aired on CBS as part of the 2013–14 American television season. Developed for American television by Alon Aranya and Jeffrey Nachmanoff, it is based on the Israeli series of the same name created by Omri Givon and Rotem Shamir and produced by Chaim Sharir, which premiered on October 13, 2013, almost three weeks after the American version's premiere. Jeffrey Nachmanoff wrote and directed the pilot episode for the American version. The series premiered on September 23, 2013 and ended on January 6, 2014. On May 10, 2014, CBS cancelled the series after one season. RTL Crime (stylized as RTL CRIME since 15 September 2021) is a German pay television channel owned by the RTL Group. The channel was launched on 27 November 2006. BBC Store
BBC Store was a video on demand store that launched in the UK on 5 November 2015 and opened the BBC Archive to consumers, allowing them to buy episodes or series of a show and download them (using dedicated BBC Store apps). BBC Store was approved by the BBC Trust in 2014. It was initially hosted on a dedicated website, but was later integrated with BBC iPlayer. BBC Store was provided and funded through BBC Worldwide, a commercial subsidiary of the BBC. It closed on 1 November 2017. Following the launch of BBC Store, the BBC's UK physical and online shop ( BBC Shop) closed on 29 March 2016. However, the online shop in the US and Canada is still fully operating.
