Hossein Nassim
Hossein Nassim (born 27 April 1952) is an Iranian swimmer. He who was a member of Iran national water polo teams participating in the 1976 Summer Olympics and 1970 Asian Games, 1970, 1974 Asian Games, 1974, and 1986 Asian Games, and won a gold medal in 1974. Nassim was known for his national records in the backstroke, and his contribution to the Iran men's national water polo team from the early 1970s through the late 1980s. Nassim immigrated to Germany in 1987, and is now a coach and instructor with swim clubs there. Early life Nassim was born in Abadan, Iran, to Ramezan Nassim Naseri and Farideh Hasson. His earliest influences were from his brother Bahman Nassim, whom was himself a water polo player for Iran men's national water polo team, and a record holder for the backstroke from the late 1950s into the early 1960s. Abadan, Iran
Abadan (; ) is a city in the Central District (Abadan County), Central District of Abadan County, Khuzestan province, Khuzestan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. The city is in the southwest of the county. It lies on Abadan Island ( long, 3–19 km or 2–12 miles wide). Front Crawl
The front crawl or forward crawl, also known as the Australian crawl or American crawl, is a swimming stroke usually regarded as the fastest of the four front primary strokes. As such, the front crawl stroke is almost universally used during a freestyle swimming competition, and hence freestyle is used metonymically for the front crawl. It is one of two long axis strokes, the other one being the backstroke. Unlike the backstroke, the breaststroke, and the butterfly stroke, the front crawl is not regulated by World Aquatics. Hence, in "freestyle" competitive swimming events, any stroke or combination of strokes is permissible. This style is sometimes referred to as the Australian crawl although this can sometimes refer to a more specific variant of front crawl. Fereydoun Farrokhzad (; October 7, 1936 – August 7, 1992) was an Iranian showman, host, poet, actor, political activist, singer, humanitarian, and writer. He is best known for his television variety show, ''The Silver Carnation'', which introduced and featured many artists, such as Ebi, Leila Forouhar, Shohreh, Sattar, Hayedeh, and many more. Farrokhzad was forced into exile after the 1979 Iranian Revolution.
