Hossein Monzavi
Hossein Monzavi ( fa, حسين منزوی) (23 September 1946 in Zanjan, Iran – 5 May 2004 in Tehran) was a prominent Iranian poet, essayist and translator who had great effects on Iranian literary mutating. Monzavi's reputation is in composing poems and his lyric poems are primarily in Persian, but he also has contributed to the Azerbaijani language. Life He was born in Zanjan. After education and living in Tehran for some years, he came back to his hometown. His father Mohammad Monzavi was also a poet that had written some poems in the same languages that wrote imitative poetry for Mohammad-Hossein Shahriar's Heydar Babaya Salam. Homayoun Shajarian, a Persian traditional singer, has used lyrics of Hossein Monzavi in Setareh-ha (The Stars) music album. Hossein Monzavi died from cancer in Tehran in 2003. Zanjan, Iran
Zanjan ( Persian: زنجان, ; Azerbaijani: زنگان) is a city in northwest Iran, serving as the capital of Zanjan Province. It lies north-west of Tehran on the main highway to Tabriz and Turkey and approximately from the Caspian Sea. The city is located about 20 kilometers south of the Qaflankuh Mountain Range. At the 2016 census, its population was 521,302 which is the 20th largest city in Iran. The population of Zanjan consists mostly of Iranian Azeris who are bilingual in Azerbaijani and Persian. Mohammad-Hossein Shahriar
Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabrizi ( fa, سید محمدحسین بهجت تبریزی, az, سید محمدحسین بهجت تبریزی) (January 2, 1906 – September 18, 1988), mainly known by his pen name, Shahriar ( fa, شهریار ), was a notable Iranian Azerbaijani poet who wrote in both Azerbaijani and Persian. His most important work, Heydar Babaya Salam is considered to be the pinnacle in Azerbaijani literature which gained great popularity in the Turkic world and was translated to more than 30 languages. Contrary to many other figures of his time, Shahriar barely involved himself with political problems and ideologies. He was, however, known for his avid nationalism; in his work, numerous metaphors commending Persepolis, Zoroaster and Ferdowsi are made. Homayoun Shajarian
Homayoun Shajarian ( fa, همايون شجريان, born May 21, 1975) is an Iranian singer. He is the son of Mohammad-Reza Shajarian. Early life Shajarian was born in Tehran and is the son of Mohammad-Reza Shajarian, a grand master vocalist of Persian traditional music. At a young age, he began studying the tombak, a Persian hand drum, and Persian traditional vocal Avaz. Shajarian attended Tehran Conservatory of Music choosing Kamancheh as his professional instrument and was tutored by Ardeshir Kamkar. In 1991, he accompanied his father in concerts of Ava Music Ensemble in the United States, Europe and Iran, playing Tombak and from 1999 on, he started accompanying his father also on vocals. In 1995 he got married to Guitta Khansari, they have a child called Yasmine Shajarian who is born in 2007 in Tehran, Iran. They got divorced in 2015. ''Heydar Babaya Salam'' ( az, حیدربابایه سلام) is an Azerbaijani poetical work by Mohammad Hossein Shahriar, a famous Iranian Azerbaijani poet. Published in 1954 in Tabriz, it is about Shahriar's childhood and his memories of his village Khoshgenab near Tabriz. ''Heydar Baba'' is the name of a mountain overlooking the village.
