Husne Ara Shahed () was a Bangladeshi author and educationist. Biography She was former principal of Sher-e-Bangla Balika Mahavidyalaya in Dhaka. Ara was married to A. F. Shahed Ali. They have two sons and one daughter. Her son Faheem Hasan Shahed is an academic. She was a trustee of Gono University. The Bangla Academy (, ) is the official List of language regulators, regulatory body of the Bengali language in Bangladesh. Tahmima Anam (; born 8 October 1975) is a Bangladeshi-born British writer, novelist and columnist. Her first novel, '' A Golden Age'' (2007), was the Best First Book winner of the 2008 Commonwealth Writers' Prizes. Her follow-up novel, '' The Good Muslim'', was nominated for the 2011 Man Asian Literary Prize. She is the granddaughter of Abul Mansur Ahmed and daughter of Mahfuz Anam. Editor In Bangladesh, ''Jaijaidin'' was published and edited by Shafik Rehman, but he lost the editorship of ''Jaijaidin'' in 2008 for his stand against a military-backed government.
