Hope van Dyne (née Pym) is a fictional character portrayed primarily by Evangeline Lilly in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film franchise, loosely based on the Marvel Comics character Hope Pym. Portrayed as the daughter of Hank Pym (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Janet van Dyne, she was a senior board member of her father's company, Pym Technologies, and later inherits the Pseudonym, alias Wasp from her mother, using a suit containing Pym Particles (Marvel Cinematic Universe), her father's technology to shrink and fly with insect-themed wings. Her appearances have been praised for her authentic, relatable portrayal as superheroine. Hope Pym is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz, the character first appeared in ''A-Next'' #7 (April 1999). The Blip
The Blip (also known as the Decimation and the Snap) is a fictional major event and period of time depicted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The Blip began in 2018 when Thanos, wielding all six Infinity Stones in the Infinity Gauntlet, exterminated half of all living things in the universe, chosen at random, with the snap of his fingers.
