Hopang District
Hopang District is a district of Shan State, Myanmar (Burma). It is part of the Wa Self-Administered Division. It was set up in 2011 and consists of three townships, Hopang, Mongmai and Pangwan, and two subtownships, Namtit and Panlong. Districts Of Myanmar
Districts (; ) are the second-level administrative divisions of Myanmar. They are the subdivisions of the administrative divisions of Myanmar, regions and states of Myanmar. Districts are in turn are subdivided into Townships of Myanmar, townships, then towns, wards and villages. Prior to 2022, there were 76 districts in Myanmar. The number of districts was expanded to a total of 121 on 30 April 2022 through Notification 319/2022 through 333/2022 under the authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Myanmar), Ministry of Home Affairs with the most new districts going to Shan State and Yangon Region. 2008 Constitution Of Myanmar
The Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (2008) is the third Constitution of Myanmar after 1947 and 1974 constitutions which lost force after military coups. It is part of the seven steps road map announced by then Prime Minister of State Peace and Development Council government General Khin Nyunt on 30 August 2003. One of the seven steps include recalling the National Convention for the drafting of new constitution. The National Convention was adjourned on 31 March 1996 by State Peace and Development Council government. The convention began on 17 May 2004 and was attended by 1076 of invited delegates and representatives from 25 ethnic ceasefire groups. Panlong Subtownship
Panlong Subtownship is a subtownship of the Wa Self-Administered Division of Shan State, formerly and conterminously part of Hopang District. Its main town and capital is Pan Lon, also known as Panlong and Pang Long, which was settled in the 19th century by Panthay people, mainly followers of Du Wenxiu, who had found refuge in the Wa States after having suffered persecution in China. The refugees were allowed to reside in the town by paying a tribute to the local Wa '' saopha''. Mong Maoe Township ( Parauk: ; , zh, 勐冒县) is officially Mong Maw Township ()), locally known as Moeknu (Wa: Mōuig Nū), is a township of Hopang District of Shan State.
