''Hood Hottest Princess'' is the second mixtape by American rapper Sexyy Red. Released on June 9, 2023 via Open Shift, the mixtape was supported by the singles "Born By the River", "Female Gucci Mane", " Pound Town 2", "SkeeYee" and "Hellcats SRTs", and has received positive reception from critics. The mixtape contains guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Juicy J, ATL Jacob, and Sukihana. A deluxe edition was released on December 1, 2023 and featured additional guest appearances from Chief Keef, 42 Dugg, G Herbo and Summer Walker. Janae Nierah Wherry (born April 15, 1998), known professionally as Red, is an American rapper. She rose to prominence with the release of her 2023 single "Pound Town" (with Tay Keith); its popularity spawned the remixed sequel "Pound Town 2" (with Nicki Minaj), which became her first entry on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. It became Sexyy Red's breakout song through going viral on the video-sharing app TikTok. An official remix of the song with American rapper Nicki Minaj was released on May 26, 2023. Background In an interview with ''Complex'', Sexyy Red spoke about the process of writing the song: I was in the studio, just on some lazy stuff, and my people was like, "Come on, you got more songs to record." Okayplayer is an online hip-hop and alternative music website and community, described by ''Rolling Stone'' as a "tastemaker" and "an antidote to dull promotional Web sites used by most artists". The community was founded by The Roots' drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and author Angela Nissel as a loose musical collective in 1987, and evolved into an online community in 1999.
