Honours Class
An Honours Class or Honours Programme is a type of extracurricular programme offered at many Dutch institutions of higher learning. Honours Classes are usually highly selective, admitting only small groups of students with high grades and good motivation. Extracurricular Activity
An extracurricular activity (ECA) or extra academic activity (EAA) or cultural activity is an activity, performed by students, that falls outside the realm of the normal curriculum of school, college or university education. Although approved and often sponsored by school official, such activities are voluntary (as opposed to mandatory) and usually do not carry academic credit. Benefits of participation A group study conducted by surveying school-age students in the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health revealed that 70% of adolescents in the USA are involved in some form of extracurricular activities.
