Hong Kong Community Shield
2009 Hong Kong Community Shield was the first edition of the Hong Kong Community Shield. The game was a football match between the winners and the runners-up of the previous season's Hong Kong First Division League. The match was played in Hong Kong Stadium, on 17 August 2009. The two opposing teams were 2008–09 Hong Kong First Division League winners South China AA, South China and runners-up Kitchee SC, Kitchee. Because of Typhoon Morakot, which was currently affecting Taiwan, a part of the ticket revenue was donated to two charities, the Hong Kong Red Cross and United Christian Hospital. The game was won by Kitchee with a 2–0 victory over South China. The game's two goals were made by Spain, Spanish player Albert Virgili and Equatorial Guinea, Equatoguinean player Baruc Nsue. Zhang Chunhui
Zhang Chunhui (; born 13 March 1983) is a Chinese-born Hong Kong football coach and former professional footballer. Club career Zhang was selected in the Hong Kong Top Footballer Awards (Best XI Squad) in the 2006–07 season. On 2 July 2018, it was reported that Zhang had joined Pegasus as a player-coach. He was released by the club on 5 November 2019 due to discipline issues. International career Zhang is eligible to represent Hong Kong in international competitions after living there for 2 years. Lee Chi Ho (, born 16 November 1982) is a Hong Kong former professional footballer. His usual position is right back while occasionally playing as a centre back as well. Chan Siu Ki (; born 14 July 1985) is a Hong Kong professional footballer who plays as a striker. He is the all-time top scorer for the Hong Kong national team with 37 goals. Club career Early career Chan was spotted by the management of Tai Po when he was playing amateur football. At that time, he was working in a store operated by his family. Kwok Kin Pong (, born 30 March 1987) is a former Hong Kong professional footballer who played as a defender or a midfielder. Lee Wai Lim (, born 5 May 1981) is a former Hong Kong people, Hong Kong professional footballer and coach. He is the brother of former professional footballer Lee Hong Lim. Peter Man Pei Tak () is a Hong Kong former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder or a center back. Poon Yiu Cheuk
Poon Yiu Cheuk (; born 19 September 1977) is a Hong Kong football manager and former professional footballer who played as a left back. Club career Sham Shui Po Poon left South China to join Sham Shui Po during the summer of 2011. He was the most experienced local player at the club and was appointed as the club captain.
