Hong Kong Baptist University (Shek Mun Campus)
Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is a public liberal arts university with a Christian education heritage in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The university was established as Hong Kong Baptist College with the support of American Baptists, who provided both operating and construction funds and personnel to the school in its early years. It became a public college in 1983. It became Hong Kong Baptist University in 1994. HKBU has five main campuses: Ho Sin Hang Campus (1966), Shaw Campus (1995), Baptist University Road Campus (1998), Kai Tak Campus (2005), and Shek Mun Campus (2006) for the College of International Education and the Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School. Alexander Wai Ping-kong ( zh, 衞炳江) is a former Deputy President and Provost of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, who served from 1 March 2020. He had served the Hong Kong Polytechnic University for over 20 years since 1996. He assumed the position of President and Vice-Chancellor of the Hong Kong Baptist University on 1 February 2021. Kwun Tong Road () is a major thoroughfare in Kwun Tong District, New Kowloon, Hong Kong. Location Kwun Tong Road starts at the junction with Prince Edward Road East, Clear Water Bay Road and Lung Cheung Road in Ngau Chi Wan. A reading of a bill is a stage of debate on the bill held by a general body of a legislature. In the Westminster system, developed in the United Kingdom, there are generally three readings of a bill as it passes through the stages of becoming, or failing to become, legislation. Pui Ching Middle School ( zh, t=香港培正中學) is a Baptist secondary school in Ho Man Tin, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Founded in 1889, it currently has sister schools in Macau and Guangzhou. History The Hong Kong branch was established in 1933 in Ho Man Tin. Initially, only primary school education was offered; a junior high school division using Chinese as medium of instruction was established in 1938, a senior high division was established in 1940.
