Honeyz
The Honeyz are a British Contemporary R&B, R&B girl group currently composed of members Célena Cherry, Heavenli Abdi and Cherry's sister, Candace Cherry, as a touring member. The group had five UK top 10 hits between 1998 and 2000, with "Finally Found" (1998), "End of the Line (Honeyz song), End of the Line" (1998), "Love of a Lifetime (Honeyz song), Love of a Lifetime" (1999), "Never Let You Down" (1999) and "Won't Take It Lying Down" (2000). Their only album ''Wonder No.8'' was certified gold by the BPI. The Honeyz formed in 1997 with the original line-up of Célena Cherry, Heavenli Abdi and Naima Belkhiati. Former Solid HarmoniE, Solid Harmonie member Mariama Goodman replaced Abdi from April 1999 until her departure in August 2000, with Abdi rejoining to replace her, before the group disbanded for the first time in 2003. Finally Found
"Finally Found" is the debut single of British girl group Honeyz. It was released on 24 August 1998 by Mercury Records, Mercury and First Avenue Records, 1st Avenue as the lead single from their debut album, ''Wonder No. 8'' (1998). The song was their most successful single in the UK and worldwide, peaking at number four on the UK Singles Chart and earning platinum status in Australia, where it peaked at number three. It reached the top 20 in Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, and Sweden. The song was given a slightly different mix for single release, titled the "Rude Boy Mix". This mix adds background instrumentation and more backing vocals during the song while omitting the instrumental intro and spoken French towards the end of the album version. "End of the Line" is a song by British girl group Honeyz. It was released as the group's second single on 7 December 1998 and peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart, spending 16 weeks in the top 100 to become Honeyz' longest-charting single. It also reached number one on the UK R&B Chart and became the group's second top-40 hit in Australia, Iceland, Ireland, and Sweden. The single has sold 360,000 copies in the UK alone. On 27 March 2015, the Official Charts Company inducted "End of the Line" into their Pop Gem Hall of Fame, which celebrates "overlooked classics and huge hits of yesteryear". The Big Reunion
''The Big Reunion'' is a British reality-documentary series that began airing on ITV2 on 31 January 2013. The show featured chart-topping bands who were big in the UK pop music scene between the 1990s and early 2000s, and the programme followed them as they reunited for the first time in a decade and went through their two weeks of intensive rehearsals before finally stepping back on stage for a comeback performance. The first series featured Five, 911, Atomic Kitten, B*Witched, Blue, Honeyz and Liberty X. Another mini-series, entitled ''The Big Reunion: On Tour'', aired from 5–19 September 2013. Mariama Goodman
Mariama Goodman (born 25 December 1977) is an English singer and dancer. She is best known for being a former founding member of the girl groups Solid HarmoniE and member of Honeyz. Biography Solid HarmoniE Goodman began her pop career in 1996 signed to Jive Records in the United States with Solid HarmoniE. The group had the same management as, and toured regularly with, NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. The group disbanded in 2000 but reunited (without Goodman) in 2013. Honeyz When Solid HarmoniE split, Goodman returned to the UK and was invited to join the Honeyz alongside Célena Cherry and Naima Belkhiati. "Love of a Lifetime" is a song by English girl group Honeyz, released as the group's third single from their debut studio album, '' Wonder No.8'' (1998), on 12 April 1999. It was their last single at the time with co-founding member Heavenli Abdi, following her departure weeks before the song's release. The song reached number nine on the UK Singles Chart, number 26 in Ireland and number 64 in Australia. The "Rude Boy" remix was released as a single, and a slightly different Rude Boy mix was included on both the original 1998 album and 1999 reissue, however the original version was released for the first time on the group's 2006 ''The Collection'' album. The Big Reunion (concerts)
The Big Reunion is a 2013 series of concerts featuring British pop groups Five, 911, Atomic Kitten, Honeyz, Liberty X and Blue, and Irish group B*Witched. The groups, who were big names in the UK pop music scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s, reunited for the ITV2 reality-documentary series ''The Big Reunion'' (apart from Blue, who had already been reunited since 2011), a show which follows them meeting again for the first time in a decade and rehearsing ahead of their comeback performance. Although the bands were initially only to perform a single concert at London's Hammersmith Apollo on 26 February 2013, high demand for tickets and the popularity of the series led to a full arena tour being announced. Célena Cherry
Célena Francine Alexandra Cherry (born 26 April 1977) is a British singer and songwriter. She is the lead singer of the girl group Honeyz. Early life and career Cherry was born to parents from Grenada and St Lucia. Originally intending to become an actress, she attended Corona Theatre School in Kew, London between the ages of 4 and 16. Before forming Honeyz, she was in another girl group called Illusion. Solo career After the failure of the second Honeyz album, Cherry teamed up with her cousin Alani (former Kleshay singer) under the name Anotherside. First Avenue Records (also known as 1st Avenue and First Avenue Management) was a British record label, publishing company and music management company. The publishing side of the company was acquired by BMG Music Publishing in 2002. Hammersmith Apollo
The Hammersmith Apollo, currently called the Eventim Apollo for sponsorship reasons, and formerly and still commonly known as the Hammersmith Odeon, is a live entertainment performance venue, originally built as a cinema called the Gaumont Palace. A girl group is a music act featuring two or more women in music, female singers who generally vocal harmony, harmonize together.
