Honey Mahogany
Honey Mahogany (born December 30, 1983) is an American activist, politician, drag performer, and singer. She first came to national attention on the fifth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'', followed by releasing her debut EP ''Honey Love''. She was instrumental in setting up The Transgender District in San Francisco, where she served as the first director. In 2024, Mahogany was appointed director of the San Francisco Office of Transgender Initiatives. Background Mahogany first started performing in drag while earning her undergrad at University of Southern California. She went on to attend graduate school at the University of California, Berkeley, earning a Master of Social Work and co-founded the annual drag competition Berkeley's Next Top Drag Performer in 2008. While at UC Berkeley, she mostly performed at lesbian clubs in Oakland, stating that at the time she had "many more lesbian friends than gay friends." "Hometown Glory" is a song by English singer-songwriter Adele. It was released on 22 October 2007 in the United Kingdom as her debut single, and appears on her debut studio album '' 19'' (2008). In 2008, the song was re-released as her fourth single. Adele wrote "Hometown Glory" within 10 minutes, when she was only 16 years old, after her mother tried to persuade her to leave her home suburb of West Norwood in London for university. It is the first song that Adele wrote. In 2007, "Hometown Glory" was released on singer Jamie T's Pacemaker Recordings label as a limited edition 7" vinyl single, of which only 500 copies were made. Shane Gilberto Jenek (born 18 February 1982), better known under the stage name Courtney Act, is an Australian drag queen, singer and television personality. Courtney first came to prominence competing on the first season of ''Australian Idol'' in 2003. The sixth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' began airing February 24, 2014. Like RuPaul's Drag Race season 5, the fifth season, the season featured 14 contestants competing for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar".
