''Homosexual'' is the fifth studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Darren Hayes. It was released on 7 October 2022 and is Hayes' third studio album to be released on his own record label, Powdered Sugar. The album was preceded by five singles: " Let's Try Being in Love", "Do You Remember?", "Poison Blood", "All You Pretty Things" and "Feels Like It's Over". Darren Hayes
Darren Stanley Hayes (born 8 May 1972) is an Australian singer, songwriter, music producer and composer. He was the singer of the pop duo Savage Garden from their 1993 establishment until their disbandment in 2001. Their 1997 album '' Savage Garden'' peaked at No. 1 in Australia, No. 2 in the United Kingdom, and No. 3 in the United States. It spawned the singles " I Want You", " To the Moon and Back", and Australian and US No. 1 hit " Truly Madly Deeply". "The Animal Song" is a song by Australian pop music duo Savage Garden, released as a single on 23 February 1999. The song was written for the soundtrack of the film '' The Other Sister'' and also appeared on their second studio album, '' Affirmation'' (1999), as well as their compilation album, '' Truly Madly Completely: The Best of Savage Garden''. It was the band's first song to be produced by Walter Afanasieff, a producer well known for his work with Mariah Carey. "Affirmation" is a song by Savage Garden, released as the third single from their second and final studio album of the same name (1999). It peaked at number 16 in Australia and number eight on the UK Singles Chart. Background The lyrics are a series of statements each starting with "I believe", for instance: "I believe in Karma, what you give is what you get returned" and "I believe you can't appreciate real love until you've been burned". The song was performed live at the Sydney Olympic Games Closing Ceremony in October 2000, with Darren wearing a T-shirt depicting the Aboriginal flag. ''This Delicate Thing We've Made'' is the third studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Darren Hayes. It is a double album released on his label Powdered Sugar on 20 August 2007. The first single from the album, " On the Verge of Something Wonderful", was released in Australia on 28 July 2007 and in the UK and online on 6 August 2007. Background The album has been made with the help of a 1982 Fairlight CMI synthesizer, and the ex-Savage Garden frontman has said it is a cinematic and theatrical album. It reached number 5 on the Top Albums chart of the Australian iTunes Store on the day of release and number 3 later in its first week. Hayes later said of the album in a 2011 interview that "it was my rebellious streak. It was a strange 25-song double album with only one or two songs that could be played on the radio.
