Home (Blue October Album)
''Home'' is the eighth studio album by Blue October. The album was recorded between August and November 2015 at Orb Studios in Austin, Texas and Justin Furstenfeld's home studio Crazy Making Studio. Long-time collaborator, Tim Palmer (record producer), Tim Palmer, co-produced and mixed the album. After its first week of sales, ''Home'' charted at number 10 on the Building Album Sales chart with sales of 22,194 units. On the Billboard charts, ''Billboard'' charts, ''Home'' debuted at number 1 on the Rock Albums Chart, number 1 on the Alternative Albums Chart, number 1 on the Independent Albums Chart, and number 19 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. The first single, the title track "Home" made its radio debut December 16, 2015, and spent over six months on the Adult Top 40, peaking at number 24. Matthew Chamberlain (born April 17, 1967) is an American session drummer, record producer and songwriter. He has played with various artists, including Pearl Jam, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, David Bowie, Tori Amos, Morrissey, The Wallflowers, Elton John, Fiona Apple, Bob Dylan, Brandi Carlile, Garbage, Macy Gray, and Soundgarden. Biography Chamberlain was born in San Pedro, California on April 17, 1967. He began learning how to play the drums at 15 years old, taking lessons with David Garibaldi from the band Tower of Power. He attended North Texas State's music program, leaving after less than a year. After leaving college, he moved to Dallas, Texas and played with multiple bands in the Dallas Deep Ellum music scene . Longwave (band)
Longwave is an American indie rock band. The band was formed in 1999 by guitarist, songwriter and vocalist Steve Schiltz; guitarist Shannon Ferguson; bassist David Marchese; and drummer Jeremy Greene. The band was active from 1999 to 2008. As of 2018 the band had reformed and was recording new music. Longwave's fifth album ‘’If We Ever Live Forever’’ was released October 25, 2019. History Before Longwave formed, Schiltz played guitar in a band called Scout, featuring vocalist Ashen Keilyn. William Matthew Noveskey (born June 16, 1976) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, guitarist, and bassist, best known as the bassist in the bands Blue October and Harvard of the South (band), Harvard of the South, and as bassist and frontman of the bands (a+)machines and Icarus Bell. Early life and education William Matthew Noveskey was born on June 16, 1976 in Adrian, Michigan. Noveskey moved from Adrian to Traverse City, Michigan, Traverse City at the age of ten. He grew up in a very musical household in Northern Michigan. He had two uncles who both played bass guitar and sang in touring rock bands, his brother plays drums, and his grandparents played guitar, piano and accordion. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s.
