Home Place, Kelling
Home Place, also called Voewood, is an Arts and Crafts style house in High Kelling, near Holt, Norfolk, England, designed (1903–5) by Edward Schroeder Prior. It is a Grade II* listed building. The gardens, also designed by Prior, are Grade II* listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. Home Place is perhaps one of the greatest achievements of house design of the Arts and Crafts movement. More than almost any other building of the period the house fulfils the ideals for architecture developed by John Ruskin and William Morris. The design of Home Place saw Prior return to and extend further the aspects of design that had preoccupied him in The Barn, Exmouth. Home Place, Indiana
Home Place is a neighborhood within the city of Carmel, Indiana, in the United States. Home Place was previously an unincorporated community of in Clay Township, Hamilton County, Indiana, that had resisted annexation attempts by Carmel since 2004. However, in June 2016, a special judge ruled that residents of Home Place had failed to meet all the requirements to prevent the annexation, and that Carmel could move forward with the annexation. After that decision was upheld by the Indiana Court of Appeals in October 2017, representatives of the Home Place residents reached an agreement with city leaders. On March 1, 2018, Carmel completed the annexation of the Home Place community. History Home Place was laid out in 1914 along the Union Traction interurban line between Indianapolis and points north. Homeplace Plantation House, also known as Keller Homestead, is a National Historic Landmark on Louisiana Highway 18 in Hahnville, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. Built 1787–91, it is one of the nation's finest examples of a French colonial raised cottage. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1970 for its architecture. and It is private property, and is not open to the public. Description and history Homeplace Plantation House is located on the south side of the Mississippi River, in Hahnville, the parish seat of St. Charles Parish, about south of the local post office. The Homeplace is a historic home and farm complex located at Madison, Madison County, Virginia. The original house was built about 1830, and is a gable-roofed hall-and- parlor building with a rear shed addition, built of frame over a stone basement. Waccamaw Corp. was a home furnishings business that started in 1977 as Waccamaw Pottery, a Myrtle Beach, South Carolina based pottery company founded by George Bishop that sold pottery and crafts. Waccamaw Pottery Expansion beyond its original location, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, began in 1982, when the company opened a Burlington, North Carolina location. Next came Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1983, followed by Rolling Meadows, Illinois (outside Chicago) in 1984 and Dale City, Virginia (a Washington, D.C. suburb) in 1985.
