Holy Trinity Parish Hall is a heritage-listed Anglican church hall at 141 Brookes Street, Fortitude Valley, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by John Hingeston Buckeridge and built from 1891 to 1892 by John Quinn. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992. History Holy Trinity Parish Hall at Church Street, Fortitude Valley is a substantial brick building constructed in 1891–92 to the design of Brisbane architect JH Buckeridge. It replaced an earlier stone school room on the site. The Church of England was the first institutional religion established in Queensland, with the parish of St John's in Brisbane created in 1849 as part of the Diocese of Newcastle. Land bounded by George, William and Elizabeth streets was granted to the church and St John's Church was consecrated on this site in 1854. St Andrews Anglican Church is a heritage-listed churchyard at 160 Vulture Street, South Brisbane, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Kilkivan is a town and locality in the Gympie Region of Queensland, Australia. At the , Kilkivan had a population of 713. Francis Drummond Greville Stanley
Francis Drummond Greville Stanley (1839—1897) was an architect in Queensland, Australia. He was the Queensland Colonial Architect. Many of his designs are now heritage-listed buildings. Early life Stanley was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, on 1 January 1839, the son of actor and painter Montague Talbot Stanley and his wife Mary Susan (née Eyre). Stanley studied and practised architecture in Edinburgh, prior to emigrating to Brisbane in 1861–2. There, he joined the Lands Department in 1863 and became the chief clerk of works, under the Colonial Architect Charles Tiffin. On 27 April 1865, he married Margaret Bennet at Toowoomba. His younger brother, Henry Charles Stanley, was also an early immigrant to Queensland, becoming the Chief Engineer of the Queensland railways. His niece, Gwendolyn Stanley was an artist. Edward Tufnell (bishop)
Edward Wyndham Tufnell (3 October 1814 – 3 December 1896) was an Anglican priest. He was the first Anglican Bishop of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. Early life Tufnell was born on 3 October 1814 in Bath, Somerset and educated at Eton and Wadham College, Oxford. He was the son of a banker, John Charles Tufnell, and Uliana Ivanova Margaret Fowell, who had a total of eighteen children. Ecclesiastical career Ordained a priest in 1839, his first posts were curacies at Broadwindsor and Broad Hinton. After this he held incumbencies at Beechingstoke and Marlborough. He served as Anglican Bishop of Brisbane from 1859 to 1874. While in Brisbane in 1863, Edward Tufnell commissioned architect Benjamin Backhouse to build the house ''Riversleigh'' on North Quay as an investment. Tufnell returned to England in 1874.
