''Holothrips'' is a genus of thrips in the family Phlaeothripidae, first described in 1911 by Heinrich Hugo Karny. The type species is ''Holothrips ingens''. Thrips from this genus feed on fungus. ''Holothrips speciossissimus'' is a species of thrips in the family Phlaeothripidae, first described in 1920 as ''Nesothrips speciossissimus'' by Heinrich Hugo Karny, from a specimen collected at Cedar Creek, Queensland (Logan & Gold Coast), Cedar Creek in Queensland.
