Holmview is a residential suburb in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , Holmview had a population of 4,455 people. Geography The suburb is 2 km north-west of Beenleigh and 32 km south-east of central Brisbane, bounded to the west by Gardiner Road and to the south by Wuraga Road. The Logan River is a small section of the suburb's northern boundary. Just to the south of the river, Beenleigh railway line enters the suburb from the north-west (Edens Landing) and exits to the north-east (Beenleigh). The Logan River Road passes through the suburb from west (Beenleigh) to east (Waterford). Consistent with the rapid population growth between 2011 and 2021, the land use in the suburb is predominantly residential in suburban-sized lots, although some areas of rural residential housing, crop growing, and grazing still remain. Holmview Railway Station
Holmview railway station is a park and ride suburban railway station in Queensland, Australia on the Beenleigh line. Despite the name, it is one of two stations serving the Logan City suburb of Beenleigh, the other being Beenleigh station. History Holmview station opened in 1885 as Holme View. It was named Holme View because it had a view of the Loganholme area. The station was renamed Holmview shortly afterwards. Beenleigh Railway Station
Beenleigh railway station is located on the Beenleigh line in Queensland, Australia. It is one of two stations serving the suburb of Beenleigh in City of Logan, the other being Holmview. History Beenleigh station opened in 1885 at its original location at the same time as the opening of the line. It served as the terminus of the line until the South Coast line opened to Southport on 25 January 1889. It became the terminus of the line again when the South Coast line closed on 30 June 1964. The station was reopened at its current location on 12 March 1988 in time for World Expo 88. The original 1885 station building was relocated to the Beenleigh Historical Village. On 25 February 1996, the line was again extended south when the Gold Coast line opened to Helensvale.
