Holmavatnet, Hordaland
Holmavatnet or Holmevatnet is a lake in the municipality of Kvam in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the north side of Kvamskogen, about northwest of the municipal centre of Norheimsund. The western end of the lake is dammed for purposes of hydroelectric power generation. Kvam is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The municipality is located along the Hardangerfjorden in the traditional district of Hardanger. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Norheimsund. Other larger settlements in the municipality include Øystese, Bru, Ålvik, Tørvikbygd, Omastranda, and Mundheim. Historically, the municipality was named ''Vikør''. The municipality is the 188th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Norheimsund
Norheimsund is the administrative centre of the municipality of Kvam in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the northern side of the Hardangerfjord, about from the city of Bergen. The village of Øystese lies about to the northeast and the village of Vikøy lies about southeast of Norheimsund. The village of Steine is a suburb, immediately to the west of Norheimsund.
