Holm Jalgpallipark
Holm Jalgpallipark () is a Association football, football stadium in Tartu, Estonia. Located next to the Estonian National Museum and in the Raadi-Kruusamäe, Raadi district, it is the home ground of Tartu JK Welco. The stadium is named after Welco's primary sponsor Holm Bank. History Planning and construction In 2012, Tartu Welco began exploring ways to construct their own home ground and by 2015, the first sketches of the stadium in Raadi had been created by architect Andres Lunge. In June 2017, the plans were approved by the Tartu City Government, who issued a building permit for the stadium in the autumn of 2019. The construction of the stadium commenced in November 2019 and the artificial turf field was opened for trainings in December 2020. However, the completion of the grandstand saw delays due to the rise of construction costs that were caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Tartu Jalgpalliklubi Welco is a semi-professional football club based in Tartu, Estonia. The club was founded in 2008 when a group of university students decided to participate in IV liiga South, which is 6th and also the lowest tier of Football in Estonia, Estonian football pyramid. The first team of JK Welco currently competes in Esiliiga, the second-highest division in the Estonian football. The club moved to their home ground Holm Jalgpallipark, Holm Park after its completion in 2023. Tartu Welco is the largest community owned football club in Estonia, meaning the club is owned by its players and fans, who make up a general assembly of approximately 150 members. The Estonian National Museum () founded 1909 in Tartu is a museum devoted to folklorist Jakob Hurt's heritage, to Estonian ethnography and folk art. The first items for the museum were originally collected in the latter part of the 19th century. Raadi-Kruusamäe
Raadi-Kruusamäe, or Raadi for short, is a neighbourhood of Tartu, Estonia. It has a population of 4,498 (as of 31 December 2013) and an area of . Raadi is mainly suburban area. The name Raadi comes from Raadi Manor (), which belonged to the town council (''Rat'') of Tartu in medieval times. The Manor was first mentioned on a card in 1688. The manor housed the Estonian National Museum 1922–1944, but was heavily damaged in World War II due to the bombings from Soviet Army. New building for the museum was opened in 2016 and the Manor is currently in ruins, but it has been suggested to move Tartu Art Museum to the restored Manor building.
