Holland Symfonia
Het Balletorkest (literal translation, ''The Ballet Orchestra'') is a Dutch symphony orchestra, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, affiliated with Het Nationale Ballet and the Nederlands Dans Theater. History In 1965, the ''Nederlands Balletorkest'' (Netherlands Ballet Orchestra) was established as the resident orchestra for ''Het Nationale Ballet'' (Dutch National Ballet) and the ''Nederlands Dans Theater'' (Netherlands Dance Theatre). Its chief conductors included Jan Stulen, Lucas Vis, Roelof van Driesten, Thierry Fischer, and Jeppe Moulijn. Otto Tausk
Otto Tausk (born 1970 in Utrecht) is a Dutch conductor. Biography Tausk was a violin student of Viktor Liberman and István Párkányi. He studied conducting with Jurjen Hempel and Kenneth Montgomery. He continued his music studies with Jonas Aleksa at the Vilnius conservatory. Tausk was principal conductor of the Ensemble MAE (Maarten Altena Ensemble) from 2001 to 2007. Tausk served as an assistant conductor with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra from 2004 to 2006. From 2007 to 2012, Tausk was chief conductor of Holland Symfonia, during which time he received the de Olifant prize from the city of Haarlem. Thierry Fischer
Thierry Fischer (born 28 September 1957) is a Swiss orchestra conductor and flutist. Early life and education Fischer was born in the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland (Zambia) to Swiss parents. He studied flute with Aurèle Nicolet and began his musical career as Principal Flute in Hamburg and at the Zurich Opera, where he studied scores with Nikolaus Harnoncourt. Career Fischer's conducting career began in his 30s, conducting his first concerts with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, where he was principal flute under Claudio Abbado. Koen Kessels
Koen Kessels (born 1961) is a Belgian conductor and pianist. He is music director of The Royal Ballet and of Het Balletorkest, affiliated with the Dutch National Ballet. Biography Trained as a pianist, Kessels studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. He became a repetiteur and an assistant conductor at the Vlaamse Opera. He founded the music ensemble HERMES in 1998 and continues to serve as its artistic director. He has served as music director for the Belgian summer opera festival Zomeropera Alden Biesen. Roy Goodman (born 26 January 1951) is an English conductor and violinist, specialising in the performance and direction of early music. He became internationally famous as the 12-year-old boy treble soloist in the March 1963 recording of Allegri's '' Miserere'' with the Choir of King's College, Cambridge, under David Willcocks.
