Holland Series
The Holland Series is the annual championship series of the highest level of professional baseball in the Netherlands. It is the conclusion of the postseason of Honkbal Hoofdklasse, played between the two winners of the league's playoffs. The series was played for two years in the 1970s, then annually beginning in 1987. The Holland Series championship is determined through a best-of-seven playoff, best-of-seven game playoff. Currently, six teams qualify for the playoffs, with the top two teams in the Hoofdklasse regular season earning a bye in the Wildcard round. Neptunus in Rotterdam has won 20 Holland Series championships, more than any other Dutch club. 2004 Holland Series
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The 2006 Holland Series were held from 21 September to 1 October 2006 between the two Dutch play-off winners Corendon Kinheim and Konica Minolta Pioniers. The first team to win 3 games in the best-of-five-games series would become Dutch champions. The 2008 Holland Series involved the defending champions Corendon Kinheim being defeated by the Amsterdam Pirates in three straight games. The first two games were postponed due to heavy rainfall. Kinheim
Kinheim is a baseball and softball club based in Haarlem, the Netherlands. Kinheim's top baseball team plays in the Honkbal Hoofdklasse, the top level of professional baseball in the Netherlands. The club's most successful period was in the 1990s, when it reached the Holland Series in five consecutive seasons from 1992 to 1996.
