Ella Margaret Gibson (September 14, 1894 – October 21, 1964) was an American stage and silent-film actress who had leading roles in Vitagraph Westerns, often opposite William Clifford (actor), William Clifford. She also appeared with Charles Ray (actor), Charles Ray in The Coward (1915 film), ''The Coward'' (1915) and later worked in two Westerns with William S. Hart: ''The Money Corral'' and ''Sand!'' On her deathbed in 1964, she reportedly made a Deathbed confession, dying confession to the 1922 murder of director William Desmond Taylor. Gibson was sometimes credited or otherwise identified under at least seven other names, such as Patricia Palmer, Patsy Palmer, Margie Gibson, Marguerite Gibson, Ella Margaret Lewis, Ella Margaret Arce, or Pat Lewis. The UCLA Film & Television Archive is a visual arts organization focused on the film preservation, preservation, film studies, study, and appreciation of film and television, based at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Max Davidson (May 23, 1875 – September 4, 1950) was a German-American film actor known for his comedic Jewish persona during the silent film era. With a career spanning over thirty years, Davidson appeared in over 180 films. Career Born in Berlin to Jewish parents, Davidson emigrated to the United States in the 1890s where he began working in stock theater and vaudeville. He entered silent movies in 1912. He made a series of films featuring the character Izzy for Reliance Pictures Company in 1914. Budd Fine
Budd Nathan Fine (September 10, 1894 – February 9, 1966) was an American character actor of the silent and sound film eras. Born Budd Nathan Fine on September 10, 1894, in Hartford Connecticut, Fine served in the US Army during World War I, during which he was awarded a Purple Heart. Fine broke into the film industry in a film short in 1924, ''Aggravatin' Papa'', and would make his feature film debut later that year with a small role in the silent film, '' Hold Your Breath''. During the silent film era, he would make mostly shorts, with only a handful of appearances in feature films, including Buster Keaton's ''Battling Butler'' (1926), and as a soldier in the Cecil B.
