Jacob William Hoggard (born July 9, 1984) is a Canadian convicted sex offender and former singer-songwriter who was the lead singer for the pop-rock band Hedley. Before Hedley was formed, Hoggard competed on the second season of ''Canadian Idol'' in 2004 when he placed third. In 2018, Hoggard was arrested and charged with sexual assault and subsequently announced he would no longer be touring or performing until further notice. He has since been found guilty of sexual assault causing bodily harm and sentenced to five years in prison. He is currently out on bail pending an appeal to his conviction; acquitted of sexually assaulting a second, and facing a new, third charge of sexual assault. Jay Hoggard (born September 24, 1954) is an American jazz vibraphonist. Biography Jay Hoggard was raised in a religious family. He was born in Washington, D.C., but grew up in Mount Vernon, New York. His mother taught him how to play piano at a young age. At the age of 15, he started to play the vibraphone. Hoggard played piano and saxophone before turning to vibraphone. He worked with Anthony Davis and Leo Smith in the early 1970s in New England. After moving to New York City in 1977, he worked again with Davis and with Chico Freeman, Sam Rivers, Cecil Taylor, James Newton, and Kenny Burrell. He has worked with vibraphonists such as Lionel Hampton, Milt Jackson, Tito Puente and Bobby Hutcherson. Hoggard has played in venues in Africa, South America, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. In the United States, he has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Lincoln Center in New York City, and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York City. Career Karting Hoggard started karting in the UK when he was 13 years old. He competed in series such as and Senior Rotax Karting Winter Series Valencia, Hoggard won his first karting championship in 2016 in Belgium with the Max Challenge Senior Rotax and BNL Senior Rotax Kick-Off. Matthew James Hoggard, (born 31 December 1976) is a former English cricketer, who played international cricket for England cricket team from 2000 to 2008, playing both Test cricket and One Day Internationals.
