Fred Hofheinz
James Fred Hofheinz (born March 15, 1938) is an American lawyer and politician who served as mayor of Houston, Texas, from 1974 to 1978. Hofheinz's father, Roy, was mayor of the city in the 1950s. Hofheinz graduated from Lamar High School in Houston, where he was a championship debater and also lettered in track and field. He attended the University of Texas, earning a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in 1960 and continued at Texas to earn both Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in economics. Hofheinz earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston in 1964. In 1974 Hofheinz was named one of "200 Faces for the Future" by '' Time''. After his term as mayor, Hofheinz practiced law in Houston. He also served as a board member at Lucas Energy, an independent crude oil and gas company. In 1971, Hofheinz co-founded the closed circuit television company Top Rank. Hofheinz ran again for mayor in 1989, but was defeated by the incumbent mayor, Kathy Whitmire. ...

Roy Hofheinz
Roy Mark Hofheinz (April 10, 1912 – November 22, 1982), popularly known as Judge Hofheinz or "The Judge", was a Texas state representative from 1934 to 1936, county judge of Harris County, Texas from 1936 to 1944, and mayor of the city of Houston from 1953 to 1955. Early and personal life Hofheinz was born on April 10, 1912, in Beaumont, Texas. The Hofheinz family moved to Houston in 1924. He graduated from San Jacinto High School with highest honors as a champion debater and started work in 1928 at age 16 after his father died. In the summer of 1928, Hofheinz was an aide at the Democratic National Convention held in Houston; he befriended future U.S. senator and president Lyndon B. Johnson at the convention. Hofheinz matriculated at Rice University and Houston Junior College before graduating from the now-defunct Houston Law School (1912–1941) in 1931 at age 19. Margret Hofheinz-Döring
Margret Hofheinz-Döring (20 May 1910 in Mainz – 18 June 1994 in Bad Boll) was a German painter and graphic artist. She created about 9,000 paintings, images and portraits, presented in more than 100 exhibitions. Her experimental "structure painting", repainting fabric collages and frames, is a notable technique used by Hofheiz-Döring.
