Clement Maria Hofbauer
Clement Mary Hofbauer (; ) (26 December 1751 – 15 March 1820) was a Moravian hermit and later a priest of the Redemptorist congregation. He established his congregation, founded in Italy, north of the Alps. For this he is considered a co-founder of the congregation. He was widely known for his lifelong dedication to care of the poor during a tumultuous period in Europe, that had left thousands destitute. He laboured in the care of the Polish people until expelled, when he moved to Austria. Clement-Mary Hofbauer is remembered as a saint in the Catholic Church. Ernst Hofbauer (22 August 1925 – 24 February 1984) was an Austrian film director. Biography Hofbauer was born on 22 August 1925 in Vienna, Austria. He began his career as an assistant director in 1950 with ''Der keusche Adam''. His first film as a director was a sequence of the Austrian anthology film ''Auch Männer sind keine Engel'' ( ''Wiener Luft'', 1959). Hofbauer's next film was a Krimi film ''Case 33: Antwerp'' in 1964 that he also wrote. Gert Hofbauer
Gert Hofbauer (born 13 March 1937 in Knittelfeld, Styria, died 4 August 2017 in Marz, Austria, Marz) was an Austrian conducting, conductor and trumpeter. Born in Knittelfeld, Hofbauer studied the trumpet in Graz in 1958 and in 1960 at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna in Austria. He had his first engagements as a trumpet player in 1962 at the Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg and in 1964 in the Lower Austrian Tonkünstler Orchestra, playing the first trumpet. During his time in the orchestras he also completed his conductor studies with Professor Richard Österreicher (1969). In 1971 seventy-five of the best musicians from all large orchestral societies in Vienna close ranks and formed the Vienna Hofburg Orchestra under the direction of Hofbauer as conductor.
