Hobart Zebras FC
Hobart Zebras Football Club (also known as ''Tilford Zebras'' or just ''Zebras'') was an association football club based in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. The club is one of the biggest and most successful clubs in Tasmania. It competes in competitions run by the governing body Football Federation Tasmania, including the NPL Tasmania. The club uses the colours of Juventus FC and have historical ties and links to the club. They merged with Clarence United FC after the 2019 season to form Clarence Zebras FC. History The club was founded in 1956 under the name "Juventus Soccer Club". The club competed on the national stage in the 1985 and 1986 NSL Cup competitions. They were primarily known as "Hobart Juventus" until 1997. KGV Park, or simply KGV (King George V) is an association football stadium that is home to Football Federation Tasmania, the governing body for association football in Tasmania, and home to the Glenorchy Knights FC, Glenorchy Knights football team. It is referred to as the Home of Football in Tasmania. It is located in the heart of Glenorchy, Tasmania, Glenorchy less than 1 kilometre from the Glenorchy Central business district, CBD, 7 kilometres from Hobart City. The Southern Championship is an association football league in Southern Tasmania. It is jointly with the Football Tasmania#Northern clubs, Northern Championship, the second highest level soccer competition in Tasmania. The Tasmanian soccer championship describes the method of determining the best soccer club in Tasmania, Australia. The championship has been decided using three different formats; a statewide league, a playoff between Northern and Southern league Champions and lastly a statewide finals system with top teams from Northern and Southern leagues. The 2019 National Premier Leagues was the seventh season of the Australian National Premier Leagues football competition. The league competition was played by eight separate state and territory member federations.
