Ho Ka-kui
William Ho Ka-kui (, March 14, 1948 – January 27, 2015) was a Hong Kong Chinese actor in the 1970s. He was born in Kowloon City, Hong Kong. Ho acted as a warden named Sugiyama in the movie, '' Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky'', which starred Louis Fan as Riki Oh Saiga. Ho acted in 139 movies from 1976 to 2015. On January 27, 2015, he died in the Hong Kong Health Center of organ failure. Early life Ho was born in Kowloon Walled City, Hong Kong, on March 14, 1948. ''Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky'' (, also known as ''Story of Ricky'') is a 1991 Hong Kong martial arts splatter film written and directed by Lam Nai-choi. The film is loosely based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Masahiko Takajo and Tetsuya Saruwatari, who also co-wrote this film. The film stars Fan Siu-wong, Fan Mei-sheng (Siu-wong's real life father), Ho Ka-kui, Gloria Yip, and Yukari Oshima. Fan Siu-wong plays Ricky Ho Lik Wong, a young man who has super-human power and fighting abilities. Originally known in English as ''Story of Ricky'', later releases were sold under the title ''Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky''. The film had a limited theatrical release in the United States in 1993. Louis Fan Siu-wong (born 19 June 1973) is a Hong Kong actor and martial artist. He is best known worldwide for his starring role as Ricky in '' Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky'' (1991) and as Jin Shanzhao in ''Ip Man'' (2008) and '' Ip Man 2'' (2010), as well as roles in numerous television series produced by TVB. Biography Fan is the son of Fan Mei-sheng, an actor contracted to the Shaw Brothers Studio. When he was 14, his father sent him to Xuzhou, China, to learn gymnastics and wushu. After completing his studies, Fan returned to the Hong Kong film industry, and starred in Stanley Tong's '' Stone Age Warriors'' (1991). Kowloon Walled City () was an extremely densely populated and largely lawless enclave of China within the boundaries of Kowloon City of former British Hong Kong.
