Ho Chio Meng
Ho Chio Meng (born 1955) was the first Prosecutor General of the Public Prosecutions Office of the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, having been appointed in 1999, and re-appointed in 2004 and 2009; he served until 20 December 2014, when he was replaced by Ip Son Sang, a judge. Ho was also the President of the Macau Public Prosecutors Commission, President of the Macau Justice and Prosecution Society, and Honorary President of the Macau Juridical and Economic Authority. Biography Ho's ancestors moved to Macau from Panyu, Guangdong Province, in 1824, and he belongs to the fifth generation of his family to have lived in the enclave. He was born in Macau, and, as a child, he moved with his family to Mainland China in 1966, where he remained for the next three decades. Ao Man Long
Ao Man Long (; born in December 1956) was the first Secretary for Transport and Public Works of the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, from 20 December 1999 to 6 December 2006. On 8 December 2006, Ao was arrested based on a case built by the Macau Commission Against Corruption, making him the highest-ranking official arrested in the history of Macau. Ao had allegedly offered preference in government works projects, and had amassed assets totalling 804 million patacas. On 30 January 2008, Ao was found guilty on 40 counts of bribe-taking, amongst others, and was sentenced to 27 years in prison. Ao was aided and abetted by four family members, who were also jailed for between 10 and 18 years for money laundering. On 31 May 2012, Ao was found guilty of taking bribes of more than 31.9 million patacas, and received a sentence of 29 years in prison.
