Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange
Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE, HoSE, or HSX), formerly the HCMC Securities Trading Center (HoSTC), is a stock exchange in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was established in 1998 under Decision No. 127/1998/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister of Vietnam. HCM Securities Trading Center officially opened on July 20, 2000, and had its first trading session on July 28, 2000, with two listed companies and six security company members. The current HOSE headquarters formerly housed the Senate of the South Vietnam, Republic of Vietnam until the Fall of Saigon in 1975. According to Decision No. 599/2007/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister in 2007, HCM Securities Trading Center was transformed into HCM Stock Exchange, with initial charter capital of VND 1,000 billion and the Ministry of Finance as the owner representing the agency. Nguyễn Thái Bình is a Ward (Vietnam), ward () of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. History Before 1975, the area of the ward now was belong to wards of Bến Nghé, 1st District (''Quận Nhứt'') and Cầu Ông Lãnh, 2nd District (''Quận Nhì'') of the City of Saigon, with the boundary was the Công Lý Street (now is Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa Street). After 1976, both the districts were annexed into District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, Bến Nghé Ward was dissolved into wards of 8, 9, 10 (Hòa Bình ward of the 1st District was merged into Bến Nghé a year ago); and Cầu Ông Lãnh ward was dissolved into wards of 18, 19, 20, 21. The Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) is an industry taxonomy developed in 1999 by MSCI and Standard & Poor's (S&P) for use by the global financial community. Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), formerly the Hanoi Securities Trading Center (Hanoi STC) until 2009, is located in Hanoi, Vietnam, and was launched in March 2005. It handles auctions and trading of stocks and bonds. It was the second securities trading center to open in Vietnam after the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center. At the end of 2006, combined market capitalization of both Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center and Hanoi Securities Trading Center was 14 billion USD, or 22.7% the GDP of Vietnam.
