Hithu Vindhu
''Hithu Vindhu'' is a 2000 Maldivian drama film directed by Mohamed Rasheed. Produced by Hussain Adil under Picture Land, the film stars Ali Seezan, Mariyam Nazima and Yoosuf Shafeeu in pivotal roles. Plot In a desperate attempt of having a girlfriend, Riyaz (Yoosuf Shafeeu) proposes to his crush, Raufa (Mariyam Nazima) who spurned his proposal. Few minutes later, he eavesdrops a conversation of Raufa with her friend Nisha (Sajuna Ahmed) unveiling Nisha's affection towards Riyaz while Raufa has been in love with Riyaz's younger brother Rilwan (Ibrahim Wisan) though Riyaz and his handicapped friend, Aswad (Ali Seezan) is after her. He instantly proposes Nisha and ask her to marry him. When Nisha was nine months pregnant, she slips off the staircase and dies though she gives birth to a baby boy. Ali Seezan
Ali Seezan (born 6 February 1977) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, director and producer. He has established a career in Maldives Film Industry and is a recipient of two National Film Awards. Early life Ali Seezan was born on 6 February 1977. His parents Fathimath Waheeda and Abdul Rasheed are not active members of the film industry, though his father has worked in arranging stage shows for many events. He completed his studies at Madhrasathul Ameer Ahmed and Majeediyya School. He is a nephew of Maldivian actor and politician Reeko Moosa Manik. Mariyam Nazima is a Maldivian film actress. Early life Mariyam Nazima was born in Male', Maldives. She made her screen debut with an advertisement. Yoosuf Shafeeu
Yoosuf Shafeeu also known as Eupe (20 October 1975) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, writer, and director. One of the most successful filmmakers and actors in Maldivian Cinema, Shafeeu is the recipient of a number of awards, including eight Gaumee Film Awards, and a Maldives Film Award; ; holding the record of collecting maximum Gaumee Film Award for Best Actor. Ibrahim Wisan
Ibrahim Wisan (born 27 February 1977), nicknamed as Kandi is a Maldivian cinematographer, actor and director. Career In 1996, Wisan starred in Mohamed Rasheed's '' Hifehettumeh Neiy Karuna'' opposite Niuma Mohamed, Abdul Raheem and Arifa Ibrahim. He again collaborated with Arifa Ibrahim for her drama film ''Dhauvaa'', an unofficial remake of Deepak Sareen's Bollywood film '' Aaina'' (1993), where he reprised the role played by Deepak Tijori in the original. Sithi Fulhu was a Maldivian actress mostly known for her comical roles in the films. Mukhthar Adam
Umar Zahir (30 May 1971) is a Maldivian singer. Career Born in GA. Dhaandhoo, Adam initiated his career as a musician by joining a local band to take part in some of the occasional stage shows held in his island and atoll. Aishath Inaya
Aishath Inaya (15 May 1968) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Aishath Inaya is the mother of local performer and musician, Andhala Haleem. Inaya started her career in the music industry in 1987, by performing the song "Keerithi Lha Kujja" for the local band Zero Degree. Early life Fazeela Amir was born and raised in the "Amir family" where several artists including Ahmed Amir and Ibrahim Amir were brought up and "ruled" the music industry. Ibrahim Amir (born 9 December 1967) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Ibrahim Amir was born and raised in the "Amir family" where several artists including Ahmed Amir and Fazeela Amir were brought up and "ruled" the local music industry.
