''Historias de un Capricornio'' (English: ''Stories of a Capricorn'') is the fourth studio album by American reggaeton singer Arcángel. The album was released on December 20, 2019, through Rimas Entertainment and contains collaborations with Ozuna, Bad Bunny, Manuel Turizo, Dímelo Flow, Sech, and Myke Towers. This album marks the singer's first album release under the Rimas label, following his final album under the Pina Records label, ''Ares''. Background Following the release of his third studio album ''Ares'', Arcángel would end his longtime contract with Pina Records in 2019. Through interviews with the singer relating to his then-upcoming album, he mentioned that the album would be dedicated to his mother, and the album would contain appearances by Ozuna, Bad Bunny, and Manuel Turizo, whom Arcángel did not specify at the time. Arcángel
Austin Agustín Santos (born December 23, 1985), better known by his stage name Arcángel, is an American rapper and singer. He is often described as one of the most influential artists in the Latin urban genre, as well in Latin music overall, and one of the pioneers of Latin trap music. Around 2002, he became interested in becoming a performer of reggaeton. While living in Puerto Rico, he met fellow singer De la Ghetto, where they eventually formed a popular then-underground reggaeton duo, Arcángel & De la Ghetto. Latin trap is a subgenre of Latin hip hop music that originated in Puerto Rico. A direct descendant of southern hip hop and trap, and influenced by reggaeton, R&B and urbano music. it gained popularity after 2007, and has since spread throughout Latin America. ''The trap'' is slang for a place where drugs are sold. Latin trap is similar to mainstream trap with lyrics about life on ''la calle'' (the street), drugs, sex and violence. Luian Malavé Nieves (born September 29, 1990), better known as DJ Luian, is a Puerto Rican record producer, songwriter and DJ. He is recognized for working with artists such as Anuel AA, Arcángel, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Don Omar, among others.
