Hina Kawre is an Indian politician and a member of the Indian National Congress. Political career She became an MLA for the first time in 2013. She was among the 58 candidates of INC who won in the assembly election held in 2013 . In 2018, she again won the assembly seat with thumping majority from Lanji (Balaghat) assembly constituency. On 10 January 2019, she was elected as the deputy speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. A Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district (constituency) to the legislature of State government in the Indian system of government. From each constituency, the people elect one representative who then becomes a member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). 2018 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held on 28 November 2018 to elect members of the 230 constituencies in Madhya Pradesh. It is believed that the election was a direct political battle between the BJP and the INC. One of the main centers of attraction was the contest between Congress heavy-weight Arun Yadav and the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. While the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government had tried to win for consecutive 4th term, the INC fought for winning the state after 2003. The election led to a hung assembly, with the INC emerging as the single largest party and the BJP winning the popular vote. A Legislative Assembly election was held on 25 November 2013 in Madhya Pradesh, India, with the result announced on 8 December.
