Hill Country Lobos
Hill Country Lobos, is an American soccer team based in Central Texas competing in the Lonestar Division of USL League Two, a pre-professional league that is part of the United Soccer League system. Prior to joining USL League 2, the club was known as Central Texas Lobos and played in the Gulf Coast Premier League. The Lobos' regular kit colors are purple, pink, and white. The Lobos are based in Austin, Texas and play home games in the nearby town of Buda, Texas. History Pre USL history In the summer of 2016, the Lobos' team owner, David Walding, announced the franchise would join the Texas Premier Soccer League for the 2016–17 season. Hays Consolidated Independent School District is a public school district based in Kyle, Texas (USA). In addition to Kyle, the district serves the city of Buda, and other areas in northern Hays County. The Hays Consolidated Independent School District reaches more than 221 square miles. Buda, Texas
Buda ( ) is a city in Hays County, Texas, United States. The population was 15,108 in 2020, an increase over the figure of 7,295 tabulated in 2010. Buda is part of the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos metropolitan statistical area and is one of Austin's fastest growing suburbs. History The town of Buda sprang up along the route of the International-Great Northern Railroad, which was extended from Austin to San Antonio in 1880. Texas Premier Soccer League
The Texas Premier Soccer League (TPSL) was a men's outdoor soccer league that was formed in 2013 consisting of amateur soccer club sides across the state. The TPSL was sanctioned by US Club Soccer, an affiliate member of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). Each team was individually owned and operated and are responsible for maintaining the league's minimum standards and for raising their own operating revenue. History Formed in 2013, the league was developed by Brendan Keyes, Head Coach of the Houston Hurricanes FC. As league President, Keyes commenced negotiations from May 2013 with several local teams, and after the addition of five more clubs, the TPSL was formed with a view to starting play in September 2013 and an eye on expanding the league in future years.
