Highway 7 Rapidway
The Highway 7 Rapidway in York Region, Ontario, Canada, is a bus rapid transit right-of-way that runs along Highway 7 from Bruce Street in Vaughan to Birchmount Road in Markham. There are plans to extend it west to Highway 50 and east to Cornell Terminal. It is served by the Viva Purple and Viva Orange bus routes. Route description The Highway 7 Rapidway consists of bus lanes in the median of Highway 7 between Pine Valley Drive in Vaughan and Town Centre Boulevard in Markham. It also includes a bus-only road parallel to Enterprise Drive, between Warden Avenue and Birchmount Road. Stations along the rapidway include heated shelters protected from the elements. On March 6, 2011, the first segment of the rapidway from Warden Road to Birchmount Road including the Warden Rapidway station opened. Viva Rapid Transit
Viva is the bus rapid transit service of York Region Transit in York Region, Ontario, Canada. Viva service forms the spine of YRT's local bus service, providing seamless transit service across York Region with connections to northern Toronto. Viva bus routes operate on a mix of dedicated bus lanes and in mixed traffic. Viva was designed and built using a public–private partnership (P3) model. York Region partnered with York Consortium, which comprises seven private sector firms with international experience in transit design, architecture, construction and operations. Line 1 Yonge–University is a rapid transit line of the Toronto subway. It serves Toronto and the neighbouring city of Vaughan in Ontario, Canada. 501 Züm Queen
501 Züm Queen is a bus rapid transit route in Brampton, Ontario that is part of the Züm network. The route first began service on September 20, 2010, and runs between the Downtown Brampton Terminal in the west to the Toronto Transit Commission's Vaughan Metropolitan Centre station in Vaughan in the east. It runs along Queen Street in Brampton and continues along Highway 7 in Vaughan. 501 Züm Queen shares routing with York Region Transit's Viva Orange bus rapid transit route between Martin Grove Road and Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, and has been fare integrated with it since its creation. Züm
Züm (, pronounced Zoom) is a bus rapid transit system for the suburban city of Brampton, Ontario, Canada, northwest of Toronto, operated by Brampton Transit. Three routes extend into the Cities of Mississauga, Vaughan, and Toronto, with the first corridor having started service in fall 2010. Phase 1 became fully operational by fall 2012. A key aspect of the Züm plan is increased service on supporting local corridors. Unlike other, similar, services and partly due to Brampton's diagonal geographic position relative to Toronto than other suburbs such as Mississauga or Vaughan, many Züm corridors will overlap significantly with other agencies' services, requiring more complex, co-operative planning between neighbouring cities.
