High Life (Eno And Hyde Album)
''High Life'' is the second collaboration between Brian Eno and Karl Hyde, of British electronic group Underworld (band), Underworld. The album follows ''Someday World'' and was released on 30 June 2014. Background The album is Eno's sixth for Warp (record label), Warp, and was recorded following the announcement of his first collaboration with Karl Hyde. Eno was quoted saying, "when ''Someday World'' was finished I felt like we were still on a roll and I wasn't ready to stop working and get into 'promotional mode' for that record. So I suggested we immediately start on another album, a different one, where we extended some of the ideas we'd started, and attempted some of the ideas we hadn't." The album was released on 30 June 2014 (1 July in North America) on CD and digitally with a vinyl copy which features two additional tracks, "Slow Down, Sit Down & Breathe" (also on the digital edition) and "On a Grey Day". Brian Peter George Jean-Baptiste de la Salle Eno (, born 15 May 1948), also mononymously known as Eno, is an English musician, songwriter, record producer, visual artist, and activist. He is best known for his pioneering contributions to ambient music and electronica, and for producing, recording, and writing works in rock music, rock and pop music. A self-described "non-musician", Eno has helped introduce unconventional concepts and approaches to contemporary music. He has been described as one of popular music's most influential and innovative figures. In 2019, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Roxy Music. Born in Suffolk, Eno studied painting and experimental music at the art school of Ipswich Civic College in the mid-1960s, and then at Winchester School of Art. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created in 1995 on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Rick Holland is an English poet and independent artist. He was born in Aldershot in 1978. Published work His first book 'Story the Flowers' was made at Calvert's Co-Operative Press in Bethnal Green in 2010. The work is constructed within the tradition of psychogeography and of the city wanderer or flaneur and has been re-imagined and cited as influence for other artists, most recently East India Youth in the naming of his album, 'Culture of Volume', taken from the poem 'Monument'. Leo Matthew Abrahams (born 28 November 1977) is an English musician, composer and producer. He has collaborated with Brian Eno, Katie Melua, Imogen Heap, Jarvis Cocker, Carl Barât, Regina Spektor, Jon Hopkins and Paul Simon.
