High Expectations
''High Expectations'' is the debut studio album by English singer Mabel. It was released on 2 August 2019 by Polydor UK. Originally scheduled for release on 15 July, the album was pushed back to 2 August to alter several songs. Mabel worked with writers and producers such as Tre Jean-Marie, Steve Mac and MNEK to create the album, with its tracks incorporating elements of pop and R&B. The album was supported by two singles. Its lead single "Don't Call Me Up" peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart for three consecutive weeks, making it Mabel's highest charting single in the UK. It also became her international mainstream breakthrough, managing to peak within the top 10 in over twenty countries. Mabel Alabama-Pearl McVey (born 19 February 1996) is a singer and songwriter. The daughter of English music producer Cameron McVey and Swedish singer Neneh Cherry, she rose to prominence in 2017 with her single "Finders Keepers (Mabel song), Finders Keepers" which peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart. Her debut studio album ''High Expectations'' released in 2019 entered the UK Albums Chart at number three and was certified platinum. ''Ivy to Roses'' is the debut mixtape by English singer Mabel. It was originally released on 13 October 2017 through Polydor. This was followed by a reissue on 5 October 2018, with a new cover art and a new track list. The album's original release spawned one single, "Begging", while also including the top ten hit " Finders Keepers". The reissue features several previously released collaborations including "My Lover" and " Ring Ring". Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created in 1995 on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. In the modern music industry, a mixtape is a musical project, typically with looser constraints than that of an album or extended play. Unlike the traditional album or extended play, mixtapes are labeled as laid-back projects that allow artists more creative freedom and less commercial pressure. The term has significantly increased in popularity over the years due to high-profile artists marketing their projects as such. Prior to the decline of physical media, mixtapes were defined as homemade compilations of music played through a cassette tape, Compact disc, CD, or digital playlist and became significant in Hip hop (culture), hip-hop culture. The songs were typically beatmatching, beatmatched and consisted of seamless transitions at their beginnings and endings with fades or abrupt edits. The Irish Albums Chart is the Irish music industry standard albums popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA). The charts were previously compiled on behalf of IRMA by Chart-Track, and have been compiled by the Official Charts Company since 2017. Chart rankings are based on sales, which are compiled through over-the-counter retail data captured electronically each day from retailers' Point of sale systems and certain digital retailers. All major record stores and over forty independents submit data for the charts, accounting for over 80% of the market, according to Chart-Track. The Official Albums Chart is the United Kingdom's industry-recognised national record chart for album, albums. Entries are ranked by sales and audio streaming. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on ''UKChartsPlus'' as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders.
