High (EP)
''High'' is the second extended play (EP) by Australian alternative pop singer-songwriter and producer Jarryd James. The EP was released on 29 July 2016 and debuted and peaked at no. 40 on the ARIA Albums Chart. James collaborated with many sought-after producers, including long-time collaborator Joel Little, Mikky Ekko, Tobias Jesso Jr and Andrew "Pop" Wansel. Upon release of the EP, James explained his songwriting; "I tend to only focus on the melodies and whatever happens instrumentally is just what feels right. I also don't come in with words already written, I like to form lyrics, let them be informed by the vibe of the music." James will promote the album in the United States throughout August and September 2016. Jarryd James
Jarryd James Klapper (born December 1984, in Brisbane) is an Australian singer, songwriter and record producer who performs as Jarryd James. He released his debut single "Do You Remember (Jarryd James song), Do You Remember" on 30 January 2015, which peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Singles Chart. His debut album, ''Thirty One (Jarryd James album), Thirty One'', also reached No. 2 on the related ARIA Albums Chart. At the ARIA Music Awards of 2015, James won ARIA Award for Best Pop Release, Best Pop Release for "Do You Remember". Career 2007–2018: Beginnings and ''Thirty One'' Jarryd first enjoyed moderate success from playing guitar and singing in a band called Holland. "Do You Remember" is the debut single released from Australian singer-songwriter Jarryd James. The song was written and produced by Jarryd James and Joel Little (who had previously worked with Broods and Lorde). It was released digitally on 30 January 2015. "Do You Remember" debuted at number 44 on the ARIA Singles Chart and peaked at number 2 in its fifth week on the chart. It peaked at number 1 on the AIR chart. A black and white video was released on YouTube on 8 March 2015. A remix EP was released on 12 February 2016. At the Queensland Music Awards of 2016, "Do You Remember" won Highest Selling Single. Andrew "Pop" Wansel (born April 27, 1988) is an American record producer, musician and songwriter from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As the son of Philadelphia soul musician Dexter Wansel, Pop grew up in the music industry and began writing and producing his own music at the age of ten, citing rapper Nas and Motown songwriting team Holland–Dozier–Holland as his early inspirations. In 2006, Pop reached out to Nicki Minaj via Myspace message looking to collaborate. After her initial interest, he sent her an idea that would eventually become the basis for " Your Love". Broods is a New Zealand musical duo from Nelson, composed of Georgia Josiena Nott on lead vocals, with older brother and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Allan Joseph Nott on production and backing vocals. They released the single " Bridges", which went to No. 8 on the New Zealand singles chart, and signed with Capitol and Polydor Records.
